Understand Our God

Various Ways To Understand Our God

We can understand our God in various ways:

  • Observe our God’s creations, such as our universe, the Earth, and our human body.

  • Figure out our God’s Laws and Orders, such as how things work in our human world in the long term.

  • Learn about our God through His true workers in our human world, such as our Saviour Jesus Christ and The Helper.

  • Summarize our own personal experiences with our God over time.

  • Study most people’s real experiences with our God.

To learn about and understand our true God, we must eliminate various interferences in our studies. For example,

  • We humans have cultivated and genetically edited many kinds of plants and animals. Therefore, not all plants and animals are good candidates to learn about our God.

  • We humans generally live for less than 100 years. By comparison, spirits in our human world can easily live for hundreds to thousands of years. And our God’s people in the spiritual worlds (Living Lights, holy angels and human spirits in Heaven) truly live forever. When we humans can cultivate and now genetically edit some plants and animals, it is reasonable to infer that spirits in our human world can also cultivate and genetically edit some plants and animals. Unfortunately, this includes evil spirits.

  • More seriously, evil spirits always pretend to be our God and a lot of people really believe they are our God. Sometimes, evil spirits can trick you into really believing they are our God, too.

Consequently, we must combine the results from various fields of study, cross-check each other, and reach coherent conclusions. After all, the facts and the truth can be shown and proved in various ways by many different people across time.

Invisible Laws and Orders
Governing Our Human World

We can all agree that certain things work and do not work in our human world in the long term. For example,

  • The relationship of one husband and one wife works in the long term. By contrast, the relationships of one husband and multiple wives don’t work in the long term.

  • People usually achieve their goals by working hard. By comparison, people generally cannot expect to achieve their goals if they are lazy.

  • When people exercise self-control and do the right thing, things always work out in the long term. And when people indulge in their unrighteous or even evil desires, their lives always fall apart sooner or later.

By observing how things work and do not work in our human world in the long term, we can find these invisible Laws and Orders governing our human world. But who made these Laws and Orders?

As shown in Why Our God Is The Creator, our God created the universes. It is reasonable to infer that our God made all the fundamental Laws for all the universes, including our human world. After all, before our God, nobody and nothing in our human world existed. Consequently, it is reasonable to infer that our God made these fundamental Laws and Orders governing our human world.

The Assumption of Coherency
About Our God

As stated earlier, we should cross-check the results from various fields of study and reach coherent conclusions. So why can we assume that our God has a coherent personality and ways of doing things? In fact, some people believe that our God has a drastically different personality and ways of doing things in front of different individuals, religions, races, and nations.

As shown in Why Our God Is The Creator, our God took some of His lights and created human spirits. Therefore, it is reasonable to infer that our normal human emotions and preferences come from our God.

Now, we can check those beliefs by studying how we humans may normally react if our God does not have a coherent personality or ways of doing things in front of His people.

Suppose the president of a country is caring, loving, and gentle to his people in the first week. Then, the president becomes demanding, adulterous, and violent to his people in the second week. Then, the president changes back to be caring, loving, and gentle in the third month. From then on, the president becomes evil, adulterous, and violent sometimes.

What do you think of the president? Do you think he will last long in his position? Will you have any real respect for the president?

We can all agree that it is impossible for a president or king to have a conflicting personality or ways of doing things in front of his people in the long term. Out of our normal emotions and preferences from our God, we expect a president or king to have a coherent personality and ways of doing things in front of his people all the time.

Similarly, out of our normal emotions and preferences from our God, we expect our God to have a coherent personality and ways of doing things in front of His people all the time.

In fact, all adults in our human world inherently have a coherent personality and ways of doing things. As analyzed earlier, it appears that our God made a Law governing our human world that a coherent personality and ways of doing things work in the long term. Consequently, we can safely assume that our God has a coherent personality and ways of doing things in front of His people all the time.

All individuals, races, and nations are essentially our God’s people. Therefore, we can expect our God to have a coherent personality and ways of doing things in front of all individuals, races, and nations all the time. The drastically different personalities and ways of doing things in front of different individuals, religions, races, and nations actually came from evil spirits, who pretended to be our God.

Our Preferences for Merits

We all want people around us to be caring, loving, gentle, respectful, fair, faithful, compassionate, helpful, and so on.

Most people in our human world are caring, loving, gentle, respectful, fair, faithful, compassionate, and helpful at least in some ways, at least to some people, and probably coherently across time.

We all experienced many miseries and suffering. However, people can cause you miseries and suffering for many different reasons:

  • They really thought it was good for you.

  • They were under heavy influence of evil spirits and tricked by evil spirits.

  • They just did what they were taught and trained to do.

  • They were deeply hurting themselves.

  • They could not afford the time or attention to care about what’s actually happening to you.

  • They tried to defend their interests, such as their jobs.

  • They put their personal interests ahead of yours.

  • They just wanted you to suffer.

  • Evil spirits mislead you about people’s intentions and actions, and exaggerate anger, frustration, fear, panic, sadness, and desperation in your heart.

Most of the time, our miseries and suffering are not caused by people who just want us to suffer. Sometimes, due to some reasons like the above, we may have caused miseries and suffering to our loved ones. So we can all understand and forgive* each other. Always protect yourself as best as you can, safeguard your rightful interests, and stay away from harmful people whenever possible. Seek justice if possible. And when not possible, leave justice to our God. Trust our God to judge and punish people (by taking away His protection) based on their true intentions, circumstances, actions, and harm to you and other people. However, do not hate other people, because hatred is very harmful to your spirit and your human body.

Even the bad people always pretend to be caring, loving, faithful, and helpful.

On the other hand, we all hate violence, adultery, manipulation, theft, betrayal, and so on. Even the bad people have to carefully conceal their violence, adultery, manipulation, theft, and betrayal.

So why does everybody want to be good or at least appear to be good? Why doesn’t everybody want to be bad or at least appear to be bad?

According to Why Our God Is The Creator, our God took some of His lights and made human spirits. Most of the people in our human world have human spirits. A person’s emotions, preferences, morals, and memories all come from his/her spirit.

Consequently, combined with the analysis above, our God made us inherently love the good and hate the evil. And our God made all the Laws and Orders governing our human world to promote the good and restrain the evil.

Note*: Here “forgive” means not hating the person who harmed you. Put the past behind you, and live a peaceful and happy life as much as you can. However, to maintain good law and order, the person who harmed you is still liable for any criminal charges. And to protect yourself and your family, you may need to stay away from the person who caused you miseries and suffering.

Why Our God Is Good

As illustrated in Why Our God Is The Creator, our God created the universes, which are billions of billions of years old. It is without doubt that our God has all the power, wisdom, abilities, and time to do whatever He wants. It is truly completely up to Him to make us and our human world however He likes.

So why didn’t our God make us inherently want to be bad or at least appear to be bad? Why didn’t He make us love the evil, manipulation, adultery, violence, theft, and betrayal? After all, our God is free to be however He likes and do whatever He wants.

The reality in our human world proves that our God chose the good, made us all inherently want to be good, and made Laws and Orders to promote the good and restrain the evil.

Consequently, our God is good. As stated in Core Faith – Our God, our God is the origin of all merits. Combined with analysis above, our God has a coherent personality of being good in front of all individuals, races, and nations across time.
