Address Your Child’s Behavioral Problems

Use normal behavioral standards

With the Autism diagnosis in mind, you can be too soft with your child. You may ignore his/her behavioral problems often. This does not help your child learn to behave or socialize like a normal child. Instead, please always treat your child just like a normal child and use the same behavioral standards.

Discipline

When your child has a behavioral problem, ask him/her to apologize, and say specifically what he/she is sorry for, and what he/she will do under similar circumstances in the future. For example, your child wants a toy and grabs it from a sibling. Ask your child to apologize to his/her sibling for grabbing the toy. Make your child say that he/she will ask nicely for the toy next time.

Some punishment is also necessary for serious behavioral problems. However, do not use any physical punishment, such as beating and locking your child in a separate room alone. Instead, use some constructive punishment. For example, ask your child to do a page of homework, do some body exercises, or do a house chore for punishment.

When your child is very upset

When your child is very upset, do not reason or argue with your child. Instead, let your child calm down first.

Put on your child’s favorite songs. Give your child a cold drink or frozen fruits. Let your child slowly calm down.

Evil spirits can often cause and exaggerate anger, frustration, and sadness in a person. Consequently, when your child calms down, make your child read or listen to our list of instructions in “How To Deal With Messages, Urges, Emotions, And Attacks From Evil Spirits”.

Cut off video games and social media

Completely cut off your child’s video games and social media. Restrict your child’s exposure to a few very good educational apps, websites, songs, books, TV shows and movies only. Set screen time and supervise closely to ensure that your child cannot access questionable contents. Then a lot of your child’s problematic language and behaviors will disappear.

Screen your child’s friends

Your child’s friends can also influence your child’s language and behaviors seriously. When your child suddenly shows more problematic language and behaviors, pay attention to whom he/she talks about the most. Invite your child’s friend to a playdate. Closely watch the language and behaviors of your child’s friend. If you find problematic language and behaviors in your child’s friend, ask your child to stay away from his/her friend and not play together again.

A bad friend can bully your child at school and prevent your child from making good friends. Consequently, do not feel bad about getting rid of your child’s only friend now.

Deal with your child’s self-harm behaviors

Are you overwhelmed when you see your child banging his/her head on the wall? Well, after exposure to unfiltered video games and social media for several months, a good normal child can suddenly bang her head on the door too. Consequently, do not think it is a sign of serious mental illness that will never disappear.

First, pray to our God to punish the evil spirits for causing your child to bang his/her head on the wall/door/floor. Please refer to How to Pray to Our God Against Evil Spirits.

Hang a pure wall cross in your child’s bedroom. This will allow our God and His people in the spiritual worlds constant access to your child’s bedroom, who will drive away many evil spirits in your child’s bedroom. As a result, your child will sleep better at night, and feel and function better during the day. This can help prevent evil spirits from causing your child self-harm behaviors. For more details, please refer to Use Pure Crosses.

Sleep in the same bedroom with your child for 2-3 months, so that your child’s spirit will feel fundamentally safe, secure, accepted, peaceful, and loved. Then your child’s spirit may prevent evil spirits from causing him/her any self-harm behaviours.

Help your child stay away from evil spirits as soon as possible and as much as possible. Teach and help your child always strictly obey the Laws of Worship. Ask your child to read or listen to the list of instructions against evil spirits.
